About Donations
Finding Subtext is funded by individual donors in exchange for membership perks when applicable. This is a necessity because YouTube generally doesn't allow left-leaning content to be monetized, especially on smaller channels. As of Feb 2026, donation revenue has yet to cover the costs associated with producing Finding Subtext videos. However, any donation at all, no matter how small, makes a profound impact.

If monthly recurring donations surpass $100, a percentage of donations will be
forwarded to charities on a rotating basis. More info to come.
Donation Options
Patreon is my primary platform for seeking donations. My reasoning for using patreon is that I can easily cultivate a community, and update viewers regarding my ongoing projects. On Patreon, supporters gain extra perks for their donations. For more information, click the button below.

For those looking for a different option than Patreon, I have a Ko-Fi as well. Donations may not be rewarded in the same way as Patreon, though. I'm in the process of developing an alternative that supports donation perks, but this has yet to be available.

Direct donations have the lowest processing fees, meaning I can accept payments as low as one dollar. Just like Patreon, donations over $5 will be featured in the credits of one upcoming Finding Subtext video, just be sure to add a comment to your donation specificing the name you'd like to be credited as. If your credit is missing, please don't hesitate to contact me.
